Dr. Francis Del Duchetto, podiatrist, began his studies at the University of Ottawa where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics with the Summa Cum Laude distinction. His interests in athletic therapy and biomechanics then led him to pursue studies in podiatric medicine.
He then obtained his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the Universite du Quebec à Trois-Rivieres (UQTR). He is thus a member of l’Ordre des podiatres du Quebec and detains a licence for radiology and ultrasound.
During his time at the UQTR, he built on his achievements and developed his skills in all the spheres of his profession, however, podiatric sports medicine is where his passion truly lies. Notably, he was the head of a comity to promote podiatry on the Quebec sport scene for several years.
Wanting to expand his knowledge, Dr Del Duchetto, podiatrist, is currently completing a master’s degree in biomedical engineering with a focus on the musculoskeletal system at the Universite de Montreal.
A sportsman through and through, he is a former elite hokey player and is now a multisport athlete with a preference for endurance sports, particularly triathlon. He is well aware of the demands and characteristics of athletes, both at the elite and beginner level. He will know how to support you all along the process of returning to your activities and even bring you back stronger than you were before. |
