Dr. Fadji Koffi, podiatrist
Although she has always had an interest in health sciences and human contact, Dr. Fadji Koffi, podiatrist, began her university career in mechanical engineering.
It was only after completing her bachelor's degree in engineering that she decided to take the leap into biologie médicale. When she was awarded the NSERC scholarship, she immediately understood that her place was in the field of health. This last concentration then served as a fast access for her to move on to podiatric medicine, where she received the excellence scholarship from the UQ network.
Her skills acquired in mechanical engineering are still very relevant in the field of podiatry. Indeed, the study of movements and forces is perfectly aligned with the understanding of the biomechanics of the foot. This specialization is a definite advantage in the development of precise diagnoses.
Her internships in clinics and at the Joliette hospital allowed her to develop a clear interest in biomechanics and the treatment of diabetic patients.
In addition to her theoretical and practical skills, she has a very keen sense of empathy.
Dr. Fadji Koffi, podiatrist, is the owner of the Institut Podiatrique since December 2018 and acquired the Seaforth podiatric clinic in September 2022. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Ordre des podiatres du Québec.
